We can help you whether you want to change only a few things in your kitchen, have a new appliance that you need to change cabinetry for, want only a re-face of existing cabinetry or you want to go the whole hog and create a totally new kitchen.

We have the ability to design, manufacture and install your kitchen from our premises in Palmerston North. We are also able to completely project manage your kitchen renovation, including arranging other tradespeople like plumbers and electricians, to ensure that your valuable time can be spent on other things.

We pride ourselves in using the best quality hardware in all kitchens. Soft closing systems on all doors and drawers are standard. Whether you are looking for either a gloss or satin finish in melamine or thermoformed doors and panels, or you would like a painted finish, we can accomplish the look that you are after.

We also offer you a choice of bench tops, whether they be laminate, engineered stone, granite or stainless steel as well as glass splashbacks.

All of the hardware we use has a minimum 10 year guarantee.

Kitchen Design Fee

It is important to us to spend time with potential clients during the design process of their new kitchens in order to design an area that fits their space, needs, sense of style and hopefully budget. Additional time is then spent preparing and presenting our design and quote, and sometimes tweaking the design, re-quoting etc.

While our initial consultation is free of charge, if you wish us to go ahead and design your kitchen, we charge a nominal design fee of $850 +GST. This fee will cover an initial meeting with you, including a site visit and initial measure, to create a design, including suggestions for materials, appliances etc. It will also include viewing 3D renders in our Showroom and 2D CAD drawings for you to take away, and one set of revised of drawings if changes are made upon presentation of our design & quote. If you decide that you do want to go ahead with Sayer Industries Ltd to manufacture and install your new kitchen, then this fee will be deducted off the overall cost of the kitchen.

The fee does not include more than one set of changes to the original design or any additional work/project management etc if the design is taken and manufactured by someone else other than Sayer Industries Ltd. Any work beyond the initial design and one set of changes will be charged out at $90 + GST per hour.

The effect of a well-designed and executed kitchen can have on your home is quite profound. Not only will it transform your kitchen and the surrounding area, it can also add value to your home. We realise that being charged a fee for what was previously provided free of charge may not be popular with everyone, but our time is valuable and if other designers, architects etc charge for their designs and plans, that it is only logical that we should follow best business practice and follow suit. That’s why we believe design is an investment, not an expense. This will help us give our clients the best of our attention and professional advice.
